Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
2 tablespoons Philly cheesesteak seasoning
1 cup diced bell peppers
1 cup diced onions
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
24 wonton wrappers
1 egg (beaten)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Steps
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add the diced bell peppers and onions to the skillet, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the Philly cheesesteak seasoning and mix well. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place a tablespoon of the beef mixture in the center.
Top the beef mixture with a teaspoon of shredded provolone cheese.
Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with the beaten egg, then fold and pinch to seal securely.
Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the wontons in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
